Train Accident Leaves Two Dead
|
In an incident that left two dead around 1 p.m. on a Saturday in late January, an Amtrak train hit a truck at a local crossing.
The Fresno couple, 48-year-old Steven Russell and 50-year-old Priscilla Flores, were pronounced dead on the scene after being struck broadside by the passenger train which was going 50 mph.
No one aboard the train was injured. The CHP are currently investigating the motor vehicle accident in hopes that they will learn what caused such a tragedy.
